Obituary for Harriet Lieberman

"Nanny" Harriet Lieberman lived 99 1/2 years to its fullest. Beloved wife of the late Buster. She was loved by her 2 daughters Gail and Joan, son in law Richie, 4 grandchildren, Ari, Aimee, Andi, and Ali, and 4 great grandchildren Leo, Jude, Liam, and Cooper. She lived a remarkable life filled with family, fun, and friends. She was known for her amazing Jewish cooking, most famous for her Gefilte fish, noodle kuegel and matzah ball soup. Her knitting surpassed anyone you ever met. She made handbags, sweaters, scarfs, and booties. She was often told to sell her stuff to Saks or Bergdorf's. Nanny loved playing cards and played in a regular Thursday game with her ladies. Even just recently before admitted to the hospital, she was playing canasta in the card room. If there was a special event, nanny was there. She wouldn't miss a milestone and showed up dressed to perfection with not a single hair untidy. She was truly one of a kind. Anyone who knew my Nanny was blessed and ALWAYS remembers her. She had the special presence that made her memorable. Almost 100 is pretty remarkable. We will be flying our flags high as we celebrate Nanny's 100th on Flag Day. We love you nanny Harriet and we know you have been greeted by the love of your life. We will never forget you and promise to make sure that you are a constant name in our households. Love you forever and ever!
